Brawl Stars Bling System Overhaul: What’s Changing

The upcoming Brawl Stars update is set to significantly revamp how Bling, the game’s cosmetic currency, is earned and spent. Currently, players can obtain Bling through sources such as Starr Drops, the Brawl Pass, Daily Wins, Ranked Matches, and Bling Keys, and use it to purchase skins, emotes, sprays, and other cosmetics.

With the next update, Supercell aims to make Bling more valuable — but also more structured in how it is used.

New Ways to Earn Bling

The update will introduce additional methods for collecting Bling:

  • Bling Mega Quests: New seasonal quests offering larger Bling rewards
  • Expanded reward sources: Existing systems will continue, now complemented by higher-value opportunities

In addition, the free track of the Brawl Pass will include more Bling, making it easier for free-to-play players to unlock cosmetics over time.

Changes to Spending Bling

One of the biggest shifts comes in how Bling can be used:

  • Bling Bundles: New shop bundles purchasable with Bling, offering random rewards such as skins, emotes, pins, sprays, Starr Drops, and other items
  • Players will be able to preview bundle contents before purchasing

At the same time, the system will move away from direct purchases in some areas.

Catalog and Shop Overhaul

Supercell is introducing a redesigned Bling Shop section, while removing the ability to directly buy skins using Bling from the traditional catalog.

Instead, skins and cosmetics will appear in the shop on a rotating basis, making availability more limited and potentially increasing their perceived value.

Reduced Skin Drop Rates

To support the new system, the drop rate of skins from Starr Drops, Chaos Drops, and Boxes will be reduced. This change encourages players to rely more on the updated shop and bundle system for acquiring cosmetics.

What This Means for Players

The update increases the number of ways to earn Bling, especially for free-to-play users, but also introduces more restrictions on how it can be spent.

Players who prefer targeting specific skins may want to make purchases before the update, as the removal of the full catalog will limit direct access. Meanwhile, those interested in broader rewards may benefit from saving Bling for the new bundle system.

Overall, the changes represent a shift toward a more curated and controlled cosmetic economy, balancing accessibility with a more dynamic shop experience.
