Techland Announced Massive Update Coming to Dying Light: The Beast This Week
Released last September, Dying Light: The Beast brought back Kyle Crane—the main character of the original Dying Light video game. The Beast received positive reception from both critics and players, and Techland announced a huge update coming to the game this month.
Techland officially announced a new update coming to Dying Light: The Beast titled Restored Land. It’s actually changing the game; as you can see from its title, players will have to restore the map to its pre-apocalyptic condition. You can check out more details revealed by developers below:
- The entire world is persistent. Loot and zombies do not respawn;
- New quests, finishers, vehicle challenges, and activities in Castor Woods;
- Focus on the hunger system and survival mechanics;
- Humans will take over the liberated locations and turn them into outposts;
- The Beast will be much different in this mode than in the original title; it will be close to the genre of survival;
- Techland also provides permanent death mode and special rewards for those who finish it;
- Most importantly, this massive update releases this week on March 26 and will be free for all Dying Light: The Beast owners. So far, it sounds pretty impressive and could radically change the game;
As for further Dying Light game series developments, last year’s report suggested the next mainline game in the franchise could receive a multiplayer mode —something that wasn’t presented in any Dying Light video game so far. As revealed via a Techland job listing, the company is looking for a Lead Online Game Designer, and the position is still active.
