Samson Will Be Released on Consoles Soon After PC Launch

Almost in two weeks, Samson, one of the most promising titles of 2026, will be launched on PC. The game is developed by new gaming studio, Liquid Swords, which is let by Just Cause franchise creator, Christopher Sundberg and consists of former Just Cause and Mad Max developers.

As we saw in multiple Samson gameplay videos, the game will definitely use driving mechanic from Mad Max, which focuses on clashes with other cars in the game. Also, there is an advanced combat system that includes heavy and light attacks, throw objects, shove, parry and more. Samson is currently confirmed to release on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), and the game hasn’t been confirmed to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S so far. However, the head of Liquid Studio Christopher Sundberg has revealed Samson will eventually release on consoles but there are no further details, when it could happen. “We get a lot of questions about console versions of Samson. The honest (and we're always honest) answer is that we don't know when. The game is running on consoles, but we don't have the bandwidth right now to start the final development. We have to go through the platform holder submissions and all that. Once the game is out on April 8, we'll get cracking on the console versions. (Almost) Nothing can stop us!”

Samson is a 1990s-set action-crime game. You play for Samson McCray, who returns to the brutal city of Tyndalston to pay off a heavy debt and protect his sister, engaging in intense, close-quarters combat and car-based combat. Recently, Liquid Studios also revealed system requirements for the game.
