Ghost of Yotei Could Still Be Released on PC

Sony’s cancellation of releasing their games on PC made the gamers frustrated. After all, over the last 6 years almost all the biggest PlayStation exclusives have been released on the platform, including the duology of The Last of Us, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Detroit: Become Human, and more.

Announced back at February’s State of Play, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is likely to be the last big Sony single-player title to be released on PC. But according to a new report by insider Detective Seeds, who was the first to reveal that now closed Bluepoint Games has offered Sony to make a Bloodborne remake, a report has now shared a report that reveals Sony has been working on a PC version of Ghost of Yotei—the sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima, which was ported to PC four years later. He gives a hope the game could still be released this year, as it was initially planned, as you can check below:

“According to multiple people (4 separate people) familiar with the Playstation strategy change, Ghost of Yotei PC Port was “extremely far along” with a target date of release on PC in 2026. They were not surprised at Saros cancelation, but all 4 believed Ghost of Yotei PC port would continue to be released based on how far along it was, and to bring in more players for Legends. It has been completely scrapped now. As always, I am sure there is more nuance and other info surrounding this cancellation!”

It's interesting that the insider also confirms Sony wanted to release a PC version of Saros—their newest IP set to release on April 30 for PlayStation 5. However, this port is now seeming cancelled. Anyway, this report should be considered with a grain of salt, but let’s not forget Detective Seeds was the first to report about the Bloodborne remake—and it turned out to be true.
