The Wolf Among Us 2 Release Window Reportedly Revealed

The Wolf Among Us 2, sequel to Telltale Games’ original title released back in 2013, was announced a long time ago—at The Game Awards 2019. Since then, we heard rumors the game could have been cancelled due to layoffs at Telltale, but a new report gives a promising update about the game’s release date and more details about development.

As revealed by the PressOver portal, Telltale Games is working on The Wolf Among Us 2 along with some unnamed studio located in Argentina. The developers are looking to release the game next year, if there are no planned delays. Moreover, the game’s development has been started with a clean slate, and the announcement of the new version is expected to happen this year. Also, the original Wolf Among Us video game could receive a remastered version “to re-establish the brand.”

As for now, Telltale Games hasn’t given any updates on The Wolf Among Us 2, so this report should be considered with a grain of salt. The release date for the game currently remains unknown.

The Wolf Among Us follows Bigby Wolf, who is the sheriff of fictional city Fabletown. The game is actually a prequel to the comics Fables, which tells a story about characters from fairy tales and folklore who were expelled from their universes. In the game, Bigby Wolf is investigating a series of murders, during which he's interacting with such fairy tale characters as Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Colin from Three Little Pigs, and more.
