Santa Monica Is Working On Another Game Besides God of War Trilogy Remake
Last night, Santa Monica Studio announced two new God of War titles during PlayStation’s State of Play— God of War Trilogy Remake and God of War: Sons of Sparta.
Surprisingly, Sons of Sparta, which serves as Kratos’ origin story and is framed in 2D -style, is already available on the PlayStation Store, while God of War Trilogy Remake is still said to be at the early stage of development. As we know, Cory Barlog, the creative director of Santa Monica, is working on a new video game, confirmed back in 2018, but still not much has been revealed, and some fans have been concerned. During the conversation on ResetEra, gaming insider Shinobi602 revealed this game is still expected to be officially announced this year—probably at May’s State of Play or Summer Game Fest, as you can check below:
“Like I said given the quarter they're targeting, I do expect that. Probably May State of Play or the summer Keighleys (SGF). As of now I don't know yet. If not by then, then they've either pushed the release out further or doing a shorter reveal to release.”

God of War Trilogy Remake doesn’t have a release date yet and is expected to launch on PlayStation 5. God of War: Sons of Sparta is available on PlayStation 5.
