Take-Two Reports Grand Theft Auto V Has Sold 225 Million Copies

Take-Two's recent quarterly earnings call confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 and won’t be delayed again, but the company also shared the news about GTA V’s sales—and it’s quite impressive.

Specifically, Take-Two Interactive has confirmed Grand Theft Auto V has sold 225 million copies; for comparison, a previous report (November 6, 2025) revealed the game had sold 220 million copies. This is a really impressive result for the game that was initially released back in 2013 and since then has been rereleased on three generations of consoles.

Rockstar Games is continuing to support GTA Online with new content, and it is expected new updates will be released before Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
