In June last year, telecommunications conglomerate AT&T decided to sell its gaming subsidiary WB Games. Potential buyers were named Activision Blizzard, EA, Microsoft and Take-Two.
However, on September 1, Bloomberg reported that AT&T had abandoned the idea to sell the gaming direction. Among the main reasons for abandoning the idea of selling WB Games are the change of government at AT&T and the potential success of future games from the gaming direction of Warner Bros.
Recall that recently WB Games announced two games in the DC universe: Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and Gotham Knights. Warner's gaming division is also working on an unannounced AAA project for the Harry Potter universe.
