Remedy Shared New Details of Control Resonant

Announced at The Game Awards 2025, Control Resonant is a direct sequel to 2019’s original Control video game, developed by Remedy Entertainment. The game is expected to be the studio’s biggest title yet, and a new report can confirm some really exciting features to appear.

As revealed by gaming insider shinobi602, with a reference to Game Informer, Control Resonant takes place 7 years after the original game. The Game Awards 2025 reveals a new protagonist—Dylan Faden, the brother of Jesse from Control, who, as it is mentioned, “mysteriously disappeared.” The game will also have some open-ended elements (not open world), and unlike Control, which has been an action-adventure game, Remedy is trying to make an action RPG with Control Resonant. Control Resonant currently doesn’t have a release date, but according to a recent report, Remedy is eyeing to release the game in the second quarter of 2026. The game will release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
