Some of X's social media users have thought all the invited have been paid with flight tickets, hotels, and meals; however, according to the content creator named TheMacroShow, in his case, his only compensation was a… sandwich during the lunch break. He also revealed Wildlight Entertainment representatives have offered him some money to make a video with Highguard, but he refused as “he wanted his audience to have his real opinion,” as you can check below:

“Wow. All the people who got complimentary flights, hotels, meals, and exclusive access to play Highguard are all saying the video game is good!

Couldn’t imagine why”

“I DID NOT GET PAID

Not only did I not get paid, they offered me $$$ to make a video on it, but I straight up refused because I wanted my audience to have my real opinion on the game.

I did not get a flight, a hotel or even an uber. I drove myself to the event since it was in LA. My only “compensation” was a sandwich during the lunch break.

I genuinely had fun playing this game”

As Highguard finally releases, TheMacroShow also released his review on the game. Highguard is a free-to-play first-person shooter developed by Wildlight Entertainment, former developers of Apex Legends and Titanfall.

The game is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
