Jason Schreier from Bloomberg recently appeared on Xbox Expansion Pass podcast, where he was asked mostly about Grand Theft Auto VI, but he also revealed some information on an upcoming new console from Sony. Speaking of which, he stated that “it would be crazy” if Sony decided to release PlayStation 6 next year, as the current generation of consoles has just started, and the company is not hurrying up with the release, as you can check below:

"The idea of a new, more expensive PlayStation right now when the generation is just getting started.... Who wants that? Except for those hardcore tech enthusiasts who will buy anything the companies make."

Last month, another gaming industry reporter, Tom Henderson, revealed the initial release window for the next generation of consoles, both Xbox and PlayStation, was set during 2027-2028, but because the prices for RAM modules have been increased, it could be delayed indefinitely.
