New Batman: Arkham Game Might Be Canceled
Batman: Arkham Shadow is a sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins developed by Camouflaj studio for VR systems and released in 2024. The game's sequel was announced to be in development, but according to a recent report, now it might be cancelled.
As we know, Meta, which is an acquirer of Camouflaj, recently laid off around 10% of their employees and even closed Twisted Pixel Games and Sanzaru Games studios. According to Kotaku, these layoffs impacted Camouflaj, though the studio is not closed yet, and the fate of the announced Batman: Arkham Shadow’s sequel remains unknown.
It was also confirmed that the Harry Potter VR game has been cancelled as well, and we should wait for the official confirmation from Meta regarding Batman: Arkham Shadow’s sequel. However, this year gamers will see a new Batman video game, as LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knights releases on May 29 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
