New trailers confirm previous reports that the gameplay for Leon will be more action-focused, similar to Resident Evil 4, while the part for Grace will focus more on horror elements, as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7 did. Also, Resident Evil Requiem will officially take place after the events of Resident Evil 6. The new trailer you can watch below:

Among the other details, the developers also revealed that Elpis is some kind of mystery that connects Leon S. Kennedy with the second protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Elpis reportedly was a codename for a U.S. government operation that was related to a new mysterious disease, the game’s villain, Dr. Victor Gideon. Capcom announced they will tell more about this later.

Speaking of story details, despite having both playable characters, it’s one unified story. Requiem will also have both first and third person modes, available for switching at any time.
