Multiple Ecco the Dolphin Video Games Are Confirmed to Be in Development

Nowadays, not every gamer knows about Ecco the Dolphin franchise. It’s an action-adventure game series that features a bottlenose dolphin fighting with unusual threats in the ocean. The latest entry, Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, was released back in 2000 for Dreamcast and PlayStation 2, but new projects are confirmed to be in development.

The game series developer Ed Annunziata has confirmed A&R Atelier are working on multiple Ecco the Dolphin video game titles, including the remastered version of the original game and Ecco: The Tides of Time, but also on a brand-new installment. Ed Annunziata also has released a statement you can check below:

“It has been years in the making and we’re honored to bring Ecco back. Ecco has always been more than a game about a dolphin—he’s a bridge between worlds.”
