Samson, New Game from Just Cause Developers, Will Be Inspired by Cult Movies with Robert De Niro

Last month, Liquid Swords, a new studio established by Just Cause game series creator Christopher Sundberg, presented their debut video game Samson—an open-world action-adventure third-person shooter set in a grim city called Tyndalston.

Although the game is definitely not that huge, like Grand Theft Auto VI, Samson is definitely one of the most exciting projects in 2026, thanks to the noir atmosphere and kind of unique gameplay, as the main character is struggling with his debt, and if he fails to pay it in time, it will increase and have a direct impact on the future game’s events.

Samson doesn’t have a release date yet, but the players are hopeful it will be launched this year. At the same time, social media X user TheGameVerse, who is prominent for video game news and leaks, has shared some new details of an upcoming video game. Perhaps one of the most exciting things is that the game will be set in the 90s and inspired by two films featuring iconic Robert De Niro—Heat and Ronin.
