A Mistborn Video Game Might Be in Development
Mistborn is one of the most famous fantasy novels written by Brandon Sanderson that consists of seven books and three eras combined. Despite its huge population, there is still no video game based on this franchise, but it could change soon.
As reported by Vice, Mistborn author Brandon Sanderson recently revealed he has been in discussion with some unnamed AAA video game studios about the possibility of a Mistborn video game, as you can check his recap below:
“I’ve started to get some real interest on the video game front, and I feel I’m finally getting established enough that we can make a Mistborn game happen.”
“To that end, I’ve started talking to some AAA developers. This is at Step One only, but it’s an encouraging one. These rights were tied up with the film rights for the last… oh, six~seven years, so I didn’t get to test the market on them until recently.“
Let’s not forget, back in 2012, Little Orbit studio worked on a Mistborn: Birthright video game, but it was ultimately cancelled. It was an action RPG that should have been an original story, but because of multiple delays and development issues, the game was cancelled after all.
