Batman: Arkham Origins Director Is Working on an Assassin’s Creed Hexe
We haven’t heard much about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, the next, fifteenth Assassin’s Creed video game releasing after Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft Montreal is responsible for the development, and the game takes place in the Holy Roman Empire set in the XVI century.
Hexe was announced back in 2022, and almost 4 years since then, we have an update about the game’s development. As reported by multiple sources, Benoit Richer, who previously worked as a director for Batman: Arkham Origins and some Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla add-ons—Wrath of the Druids, Dawn of Ragnarok, and The Siege of Paris—will serve as the leading developer and the game director of Assassin’s Creed Hexe. He also confirmed that on his LinkedIn page.

Ubisoft is already planning to release the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, this year, as well as the mobile title Assassin’s Creed Jade, which is still in development and could be released in 2026 as well. The release date for Assassin’s Creed Hexe is currently unknown; it’s likely to happen in 2027, but it’s clear Ubisoft is placing a big bet on the Assassin’s Creed franchise after a much disappointing release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
