Deus Ex Actor Shares Pessimistic Statement About the Franchise’s Future

Deus Ex fans still anticipate Deus Ex Remastered to be released anytime soon. The game was set to release on February 5, but Aspyr recently confirmed it has been postponed indefinitely.

It seems like it could be the only Deus Ex game released in the near future, as a new installment is not being developed at the moment. Moreover, actor Elias Toufexis, who plays Adam Jensen, the main character of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, has shared some really frustrating news regarding the franchise, saying, “People who are in charge of the franchise are psychopaths”. He posted on X social media project he’s looking for in 2026 and added this comment about Deus Ex, as you can check below:

“Projects I have coming out in 2026.

…no Deus Ex because the people in charge are psychopaths.”

That might be really frustrating news for those who were hoping the Deus Ex franchise could make a comeback in 2026. Unfortunately, Deus Ex Remastered seems to be the only project, and hopefully it will release this year.

The latest Deus Ex game, called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, was released in 2016.
