The latest Infamous video game was released in 2014; it was Infamous First Light, a separate expansion to Infamous Second Son, released earlier, and at the same time a prequel to the game.

We haven’t heard of the Infamous franchise since then, as Sucker Punch Productions released Ghost of Tsushima in 2020 and its sequel Ghost of Yotei last year. But according to insider TCMFGames, the studio might be open to returning to the Infamous universe.

In a recent post on X social media, an insider reveals Sucker Punch Productions will make a decision on their next project after the release of Ghost of Yotei Legends—a multiplayer add-on set for release later this year. He also reports former studio head Brian Fleming wanted to continue developing the Ghost franchise or make a new Sly Cooper video game, but it also could be “something else.” At the same time, Ghost of Yotei co-director Nate Fox would like to rerelease the Infamous trilogy.
