Sleeping Dogs Movie Adaptation Gets Its Director

Sleeping Dogs video game is unlikely to get any sequel in the near future, as the original game didn’t perform well financially. However, the fans will definitely expect a Sleeping Dogs movie adaptation, which just receive its director.

As we know, Simu Liu, who is known for playing Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will play the protagonist, Wei Shen, and in his recent X social media post, he confirms Timo Tjahjanto will serve as director of the Sleeping Dogs movie adaptation. He previously worked on such titles as May the Devil Take You, The Shadow Strays, and the recent Nobody 2.

Considering the action scenes the sequel of Nobody has had and what Sleeping Dogs alongside Simu Liu as Wei Shen can offer, we can expect potentially a solid movie adaptation full of action and fight sequences.
