Fortnite continues to roll out high-profile collaborations, bringing iconic characters and pop culture franchises into the game at a rapid pace. From SpongeBob SquarePants visiting the island to Bleach characters appearing in the Item Shop, it increasingly feels like nothing is off-limits for Fortnite.

One of the standout collaborations is with Back to the Future, which plays a major role throughout Chapter 7, Season 1. The crossover introduces Marty McFly as part of the Battle Pass and adds a drivable DeLorean Time Machine that allows players to retrieve classic OG weapons during matches. Beyond its in-game functionality, the DeLorean is also available as a cosmetic vehicle, letting players cruise around in iconic style even after the season ends.

The DeLorean Time Machine made its Item Shop debut with the December 23 shop reset (12:00 AM UTC/ 8:00 PM ET). It is priced at 2,800 V-Bucks and is sold exclusively as part of the Back to the Future Time Machine Bundle.

The bundle offers more than just the iconic car body. Players receive multiple customization options, including decals and wheels:

Can You Get the DeLorean for Free in Fortnite?

Although the DeLorean is primarily an Item Shop cosmetic, some players can still receive it at no extra cost. Those who previously purchased the Back to the Future DeLorean in Rocket League automatically unlock the vehicle in Fortnite, as long as both games are linked to the same Epic Games account.

The DeLorean was originally available in Rocket League in 2015 as a $1.99 DLC pack, later returning to the shop for 1,100 Credits with additional cosmetics. Eligible players began receiving the DeLorean in Fortnite on December 19.

However, this free option is no longer available to new buyers. Players who did not purchase the DeLorean in Rocket League previously will now need to buy it directly from the Fortnite or Rocket League Item Shop at the current price.
