Dead Island 3 is Confirmed to be in Development

It’s been confirmed Dambuster Studios, who released the long-awaited and long-suffering Dead Island 2, announced at E3 2014, are working on a third installment set to release sooner than we expected.

X social media user Bogorad222 has noticed a financial statement of Dambuster Studios that confirms Dead Island 3 is in development, and they are currently targeting 2028 to release the game.

“Dambuster Studios' financial statements are out (as of March 2025) The company employed 194 employees Dead Island 3 is in development The current predicted release window for the project is Q1/2 2028”

It’s surely great news for all Dead Island fans, considering the second game went through development hell and was revealed to be a high-quality product among the recent games set in the zombie apocalypse.
