It’s been already confirmed that games like Resident Evil: Requiem, LEGO Batman: Legacy of Dark Knight, Exodus, as well as new Tomb Raider games and new Total War game will appear but over the last few weeks, we’ve seen a lot of rumors and reports from insiders that may reveal we should expect some announcements soon. The Game Awards 2025 is a perfect place for developers to present their new titles and below we try to predict what games will be announced at the show.

Control 2/New Control Game

It’s been confirmed that Remedy are working on a new game set in Control universe. We still don’t know will it be the direct sequel or a brand-new adventure, but we also know that last month developers have registered a Control: Resonant trademark, just recently before The Game Awards. That could be the sign we will receive a teaser of a new game at upcoming ceremony.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Remake/Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

This is probably the most obvious announcement we should expect at TGA 2025. Ubisoft are definitely working on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake; we’ve seen a plenty of reporting, including possible release date (before March 31, 2026) and new title (Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced) as well as insiders shared some details for the upcoming remake. The Game Awards 2025 is the best opportunity for Ubisoft to show the upgraded version of one of the best Assassin’s Creed games ever.

New Life is Strange

Earlier this month, actress Zina Khakhoulia, who voiced Max Caulfield in French version of Life is Strange: Double Exposure might have spoiled that the new game of series is in development. During the podcast he replied “you haven’t see the last of the surprised”; although new Life is Strange game at some point was in doubt because of Life is Strange: Double Exposure’s low sales, it seems like we might consider a surprising reveal someday. Thanks to TGA 2015, it could happen a way sooner than expected.

New God of War Game

There was a lot of speculation that new God of War set in Egypt in active development. Though it’s still a speculation, recently we got a potential teaser of a new God of War game. Well-known insider The Snitcher posted a hand of Kratos and that could lead something related to iconic character will be revealed at The Game Awards. Of course, if it’s not a new game, it could be remake of original trilogy or some news regarding TV series developed by Amazon.

New Dead Rising Game

A surprising report, came from MP1st portal last month revealed, that new Dead Rising game is in active development since 2023; title is set to bring back Frank West from original Dead Rising and will be set in Hollywood. It’s interesting that this report came almost immediately after Marie Mejerwall’s words that Dead Rising 5 has been cancelled by Capcom. Announcement of new Dead Rising game at The Game Awards 2025 will definitely be one of the biggest surprises, if report about game’s development is actually true.

Hogwarts Legacy 2/New Hogwarts Legacy Game

Just like Control 2, it’s been confirmed that sequel of Hogwarts Legacy is in development, and according to latest report, it won’t be MMO-RPG as was rumored and just like the first game we should expect a single player story set in open world. Hopefully the game will take all the best from original title and make it just better and massive and despite Netflix recently bought Warner Bros. activities Hogwarts Legacy 2 should be revealed soon.

New Star Wars Game

It’s very likely we will get an official announcement of new Star Wars video game at The Game Awards. Recently, insider Kurakasis revealedbig Star Wars game announcement is coming very soon” and clarified the game’s title ends with The Old Republic. Games thinks it might be Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic remake, announced in 2021, but who knows, maybe we will get something entirely new and different.

PC-version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

As we remember, Sony released PC-version of Death Stranding a few years after its initial release at PlayStation 4. It seems like we will have something similar to the sequel, On the Beach; the confirmation comes from ESPN website where PC-version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was leaked. That means the announcement is imminent and likely to happen at TGA 2015.

Half-Life 3/New Half-Life Game

At last, let’s speak about, perhaps, one of the most discussed games ever – Half-Life 3. The fans are hopeful the game will release one day, and according to Reddit user – “the announcement is imminent”. Moreover, insider, who previously leaked Resident Evil Requiem details, revealed that new Half-Life game is called Half-Life: Xen, will be officially announced at The Game Awards 2025 and release on March 26 next year. The fans are absolutely wants that to be true but we have to realize it’s unconfirmed and should be considered as rumors. Nevertheless, it makes The Game Awards 2025 more excited if we actually see the announcement of Half-Life new video game.
