Ubisoft are officially working on Splinter Cell Remake - new version of the very first franchise's game. The game was announced in December 2021 and we still don't know much about the upcoming project. Expect, maybe, the game will be made on Snowdrop engine, used by some Ubisoft games like Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Division franchise etc.

When Splinter Cell Remake was confirmed, David Grivel was the director of the game; he was served on this position from November 2021 to October 2022 but then he left Ubisoft. However, on his Linkedin page, he revealed that now he has return to the company and continue to work on Splinter Cell Remake:

"Today, I am very, VERY happy to announce that I'm rejoining Ubisoft Toronto as Game Director on the Splinter Cell Remake! A very special team and project to me"

Splinter Cell Remake currently doesn't have a release date. The game is confirmed to be in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
