Actress Wants to Return as Bayonetta in a New Video Game
Every Bayonetta fan must have remember the year of 2022; the original Bayonetta voice actress, Hellena Taylor, was replaced by Jennifer Hale in Bayonetta 3. Taylor didn't like that idea and called to boycott the latest release.
She also criticized Platinum (developer) and Nintendo (publisher) and revealed she was offered just $4000 and find that offer degogatory. At that time, new Bayonetta voice actress Jennifer Hale also addressed the situation saying that she supports every actor's right to be paid well. Of course, she felt a pressure by replacing Taylor as Bayonetta and now revealed some information about events that happened two years ago. Actress recently met with GamingBible; there she also expressed her desire to play the character once again despite previous incidents:
"I'd love to play Bayonetta again. But I definitely got thrown under the bus by what whole thing, and I was unable to speak on my own behalf because I was under not one but two NDAs. Eventually, I was allowed to make a statement, which I appreciated, and I was able to present the facts. There were some things said that were presented as facts, but were false. I would have never taken a role otherwise. Before I accepted the audition, I checked everything thoroughly, and I trusted the director. Playing Bayonetta was so much fun, and the community was so welcoming to me, especially after the fiasco had passed and the facts came out. But it was not fun getting through under the bus like I had, but I was happy to come out on the other side"
