Just Cause Franchise Might Be Dead After Recent Report
Avalanche Studios are well-known thanks to the Just Cause franchise - open-world videogames that let players to make some chaos. Recently, there were working on a brand new game titled Contraband that should have been an Xbox exclusive. But it seems like we will never see this game releasing.
On their official website, Avalanche Studios revealed that they are closing their studio located in Liverpool, UK: 31 developers who reportedly were working on Contraband have lost their jobs. For now, it doesn't mean that Avalanche Studios will no longer exist but recently creator of Just Cause, Christofer Sundgerg revealed that the release of Just Cause 5 is pretty unlikely because there is no people from the original team. He also said he's thrilled to see Contraband but now it won't happen.
Contraband was announced at E3 2021. The game was set in 1970s in fictional country called Bayan. We haven't seen and haven't heard a lot about this game and now we probably never will.
