Fallout: New Vegas Remaster Quietly Confirmed by Insider

It appears that Fallout: New Vegas may finally be receiving a remaster after years of growing skepticism. Fans have long pushed for a modernized version of Obsidian’s 2010 classic, but with Bethesda remaining silent, hopes had begun to fade. Just as the community started accepting that a remaster might never happen, a single insider comment reignited excitement.

Fallout Day 2025 Disappointment Turns Into New Hope

In the lead-up to Bethesda’s 2025 Fallout Day, anticipation was at an all-time high. Many expected a New Vegas remaster or at least a major announcement. Instead, Bethesda revealed yet another upgrade of Fallout 4, offering no new games or remasters.

The backlash was immediate:

  • Players review-bombed Fallout 4 on Steam,
  • Fans voiced frustration about another missed opportunity to revisit New Vegas.

But shortly after the disappointment, a spark of optimism emerged.

🗣️ Jez Corden: “Fallout: New Vegas Is Also Getting Remastered”

Responding to a tweet discussing the rumored Fallout 3 remaster, Windows Central’s Jez Corden told fans not to worry because Fallout: New Vegas is also being remastered.

He provided:

  • No additional context,
  • No cited sources,
  • But as a respected industry insider with a strong track record, even a brief statement from him carries weight.

Corden has not expanded on the claim since posting it, but his comment aligns with earlier hints from other credible sources.

🧩 Other Evidence Suggesting New Vegas Is in Development

Months before Fallout Day 2025, VGC journalist Jordan Middler hinted that multiple Fallout projects were in development, teasing one that fans have been “wanting most.”

It’s unlikely that he was referring to Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, and the idea of multiple active Fallout projects matches Corden’s remarks.

With a Fallout 3 remaster appearing increasingly likely, the possibility of New Vegas getting the same treatment remains very much alive.

Nothing is official yet, but the overlapping reports—and the reliability of both Corden and Middler—make these claims hard to dismiss.

⏳ When Could the Remaster Release?

Currently, there is no timeline for when either remaster might arrive. Bethesda already missed the symbolic opportunity to announce anything for the 15th anniversary of New Vegas, meaning fans may have to wait for a future Fallout Day or another major industry event.
