SEGA Announces New Gintama RPG for Mobile — Pre-Registration Now Open

SEGA Corporation has officially unveiled its newest RPG, Gintama Sumaho Battle Chronicle — also known as Gintama Mobile Battle Chronicle. Pre-registration is now available on both Android and iOS. The game is being developed by NextNinja and is based on the iconic Gintama anime and manga series.

A New Mobile Adventure for Gintama Fans

Fans of Gintama can look forward to a fresh mobile experience, although the official release date has not yet been announced. The upcoming RPG brings Hideaki Sorachi’s beloved world to life once again, combining the series’ signature chaotic humor with its sci-fi take on the Edo period.

Players will be able to relive some of the franchise’s most memorable moments with Gintoki and the rest of the Odd Jobs crew. The game promises plenty of action, comedic storytelling, and familiar characters that longtime fans will immediately recognize.

While details about gameplay remain limited, anticipation is already high. With characters like Gintoki, Kagura, Sadaharu, and even Takasugi appearing in the trailer—and with SEGA leading the project—the title is generating significant excitement. The only early complaint from fans is the absence of a landscape mode.
