How many well-known or at least somewhat popular esports teams with funny names can you think of? We at EGW decided to dig around and find some of the most “interesting squads” out there.

Some of these teams are sadly inactive at the time of writing, but their creative names were simply too good to leave out. So, let’s jump right in!

Ninjas in Pyjamas

We’ll start with the most famous organization on this list — Ninjas in Pyjamas. Competing in Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Rocket League, and more, this legendary Swedish org has a name that speaks for itself. No commentary needed — it’s perfection.

Certified Lover Boys

Next up is Certified Lover Boys, an American Rainbow Six team.They might not be regulars at top-tier tournaments, but they’re actually a solid squad — currently competing in the ELEMENT SIX playoffs with a $15,000 prize pool. Stylish name, decent results — not bad at all!

Bonkers

The Australian Valorant team Bonkers might be inactive now, but their name alone earns them a spot here. It’s fun, it’s memorable, and their fiery logo fits perfectly.

They may be gone for now, but definitely not forgotten.

Waffle Warriors

Representing Belgium, Waffle Warriors is a Dota 2 team that occasionally shows up in open and closed qualifiers for major tournaments. They might not be the strongest squad on the scene, but the name alone makes you hungry — and that’s worth something.

Szaty Bobra

Up next is Szaty Bobra, a Polish League of Legends team that regularly appears in well-known regional tournaments. The roster currently features:
