The Simpsons Just Killed Off a Popular Fortnite Character
In a crossover no one saw coming, Fortnite and The Simpsons have taken their partnership to outrageous new heights — with one of Fortnite’s most beloved mascots meeting a hilariously dark fate in Springfield. The collaboration between Epic Games’ battle royale and the iconic animated sitcom has already proven successful in-game, but now The Simpsons has officially pulled Fortnite into its own universe… only to brutally kill off a fan favorite.
🎮 From Battle Bus to Springfield
The Simpsons officially landed in Fortnite on November 1, bringing household names like Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown into the island’s lineup of crossover characters. However, the partnership didn’t stop there. In Season 37, Episode 5 of The Simpsons, titled “Bad Boys... For Life?”, the show took things to a whole new (and morbidly funny) level — giving Peely, the anthropomorphic banana from Fortnite, a rather gruesome end.
💀 The Death of Peely
The episode features a chaotic scene where Fortnite characters Jonesy, Meowscles, and Fishstick are held at gunpoint on the Simpsons’ couch. When the group attempts to flee, Peely slips, leading to his off-screen death. Although viewers never see the fatal blow, The Simpsons wastes no time confirming his demise — the next scene shows the family enjoying a banana split sundae made from Peely’s remains.
It’s an unmistakably dark gag that perfectly embodies The Simpsons’ signature mix of satire and shock humor, while playfully poking fun at Fortnite’s over-the-top world of crossover chaos.
🌟 Peely Lives On — Sort Of
Despite his untimely “death” on television, Fortnite fans can still honor Peely in-game. The Springfielder Peely skin recreates his Simpsons-inspired look — mercifully minus the open torso full of dessert.
Though he wasn’t part of Fortnite from the very beginning, Peely has grown into one of the game’s most recognizable and beloved mascots, symbolizing the playful absurdity that makes Fortnite so unique. His appearance (and demise) in The Simpsons cements that reputation even further, proving why this collaboration has become one of the most talked-about in recent memory.
📺 A Legendary Crossover
Fortnite’s growing list of pop culture partnerships continues to impress — from Marvel and Star Wars to now The Simpsons, one of TV’s longest-running and most influential series. With The Simpsons still thriving after more than 35 years on air, and a movie sequel set for 2027, fans are already wondering whether Homer, Bart, and the rest of Springfield might return for another Fortnite crossover to celebrate the film’s release.
Until then, fans can rest assured knowing that Peely’s sacrifice — however ridiculous — will forever be remembered as one of the most bizarre and brilliant moments in crossover history.
