World of Warcraft: The War Within Patch 11.2.5 – Turbo-Boost Event Details

Blizzard has confirmed the return of the Turbo-Boost event in Patch 11.2.5, designed to accelerate progression for The War Within Season 3. This event improves dungeon and Delve rewards, removes gear restrictions, makes Valorstones account-wide, and introduces new gearing opportunities.

The Turbo-Boost officially begins on October 21, 2025, though some features go live earlier on October 7.

October 7 (Patch 11.2.5 Launch)

• Hero and Myth upgrade tracks expanded: from 6 tiers → 8 tiers
• Crafted items can be recrafted with an Augmentation Matrix for more power

October 21 (Turbo-Boost Event Begins)

• New Weekly Quest in Dornogal:Earn Puzzling Cartel Chips by defeating Normal+ raid bosses
• Rewards: up to 9 Chips per character (3 on first week, 1 each week after)
• Exchange 3 Chips for weapons, trinkets, or cantrip items from Season 3 content
• Requirements:Hero gear: must defeat corresponding raid/dungeon boss on Normal+
• Myth gear: must complete all dungeons at Mythic 12 OR defeat Mythic raid boss
• Loot & Progression ChangesMythic+ dungeons and Tier 9+ Delves drop more gear
• Delves grant extra Delver’s Journey progress
• Crests cap removed
• Valorstones become Warbound (account-wide currency)
• Warband Until Equipped gear drops twice as often in Mythic+
• Ethereal Voidsplinters drop from Mythic+, Manaforge: Omega, Delves, and rated PvP
• Untainted Mana-Crystals drop in Tier 9+ Bountiful Delves, exchangeable for Hero trinkets
• Sparks of Fortune gear can be upgraded with an Augmentation Matrix

⏳ Duration & Future Outlook

• Event runs until the end of Season 3
• Since no Season 4 is currently planned for The War Within, the Turbo-Boost benefits should remain active until the launch of World of Warcraft: Midnight in 2026.
• This is the second-ever Turbo-Boost event, suggesting it may become a recurring mid-season feature in future expansions.
