HoYoverse Reveals More About Petit Planet – Closed Beta Sign-Ups Now Open

Just one day after teasing its latest project, HoYoverse has shared a much deeper look at its upcoming simulation title, Petit Planet, through the new Cozy Cosmos Trailer. Alongside the trailer, the studio announced that closed beta sign-ups are now open for iOS and PC players.

A Cozy Life Sim Among the Stars

Described as a “cosmic life simulation,” Petit Planet invites players to nurture their very own planet, connect with adorable neighbors, and forge bonds that expand across a galaxy of interconnected worlds. The game promises a wealth of relaxing activities, including:

• Farming, fishing, cooking, mining, and decorating
• Customization of outfits, interiors, and even entire landscapes using a mystical energy known as Luca
• Exploration via “Starsea Voyages” and social hubs like the Galactic Bazaar, where players can interact with NPCs and other travelers

Rumors of the project first surfaced in June 2023, with early leaks comparing it to Nintendo’s hit series Animal Crossing. By March 2025, HoYoverse’s strong upcoming lineup made this project one of its most anticipated titles. Earlier trademark filings even suggested an earlier name, Astaweave Haven, before the official switch to Petit Planet was confirmed through multiple social media accounts.

“Coziness Test” Closed Beta Details

The first closed beta, officially dubbed the Coziness Test, will give players an early taste of life on Petit Planet. This small-scale test will feature a full data wipe at the end and will be available on PC and iOS.

• Storage Requirement: At least 8 GB of free space
• Supported Devices: iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and newer (not supported on iPhone 13 or 13 mini)
• OS & RAM Requirements: iOS 14.0+ with at least 6 GB RAM

Interested players can sign up through the official website by logging in with a HoYoverse account and completing a short survey. Participants will be selected and notified via email, with beta access tied to the first device used to log in. HoYoverse has yet to reveal the deadline for sign-ups or the exact beta launch date.
