Silent Hill f Received First Reviews

Silent Hill, one of the most famous horror game series, has finally received a new full-fledged installment after a long break — Silent Hill f, which critics have generally welcomed positively. As of now, the game’s score on Metacritic is 85, while on OpenCritic it stands at 88. Among fans, the atmosphere and story caused the most excitement: the developers managed to recreate the spirit of the Japanese town of the past — Ebisugaoka, while the traditional fog once again gave the locations the franchise’s signature atmosphere.

From the very first scenes, Silent Hill f immerses players into heavy themes of abuse, violence, and addiction, keeping their attention with unexpected plot twists. Reviewers recommend replaying the game to uncover all the small details. Special praise was given to the design of the creatures and the soundtrack composed by Akira Yamaoka.

At the same time, the combat system sparked debates, since melee weapons often come with bugs: enemies sometimes do not react to hits, and the camera occasionally works incorrectly, especially in narrow areas. However, critics are unanimous: Silent Hill f is worth playing at least for its oppressive atmosphere and deep storyline. The release is scheduled for September 25, while owners of the expanded edition will gain access earlier — on the 23rd.

The high results are no surprise — NeoBards did a great job and created a quality and impressive project. Silent Hill f looks not just like a return to the roots, but as an evolution of the game series. The game masterfully combines strong visuals, psychological horror, and an intense plot, setting a high bar for other titles in this genre.
