Microsoft Announces the First Lineup of Games in Xbox Game Pass for August 2025

Greetings to all fans of the gaming industry and especially Xbox. Microsoft has announced the first selection of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in August 2025. Among them are Assassin's Creed Mirage, Citizen Sleeper 2, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and several other interesting titles.

According to the Xbox Wire blog, starting August 5, the atmospheric indie survival game Rain World will be available on Game Pass (Ultimate, Standard, and PC versions). Then, on August 6, a number of titles for Xbox Series X/S will become available to Game Pass Standard users. Among them:

• Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector — a sci-fi RPG with tabletop game elements,
• Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders — winter mountain biking,
• MechWarrior 5: Clans — combat mechs in a new narrative twist,
• Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap — fortress defense with traps and chaos.

The main highlight of the month will be Assassin's Creed Mirage. The game will be available in the Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions for cloud, PC, and consoles. The story unfolds in Baghdad, with the main character being Basim — a young thief whose journey brings the series back to its roots in the style of the early installments.

On August 12, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, a cooperative survival shooter set in the Alien universe, will be added to the service. The game will be available in all types of Game Pass subscriptions. Its release symbolically coincides with the premiere of the new Alien: Earth series, scheduled to air the same day on FX and Hulu.
