Mists of Pandaria Classic Officially Launches on July 21, 2025

Blizzard Entertainment has officially launched Mists of Pandaria Classic, the long-anticipated re-release of World of Warcraft’s fourth expansion. Available to all current subscribers or players with active game time, this faithful recreation invites players back to the mystic lands of Pandaria, with enhancements that balance nostalgia and modern gameplay improvements.

Key Highlights at Launch

The pre-patch rolled out in early July (around July 1), giving players early access to the Pandaren race, the Monk class, and the “Theramore’s Fall” scenario. These features set the stage for today’s full launch, which went live at 3:00 PM PDT/ 00:00 CEST in line with Blizzard’s official timeline and verified by multiple gaming outlets and community forums.

With the global release of Mists of Pandaria Classic, the following features are now live:

  • The full continent of Pandaria with all its unique zones and questlines
  • Classic dungeons and raids, including the fan-favorite Mogu’shan Vaults
  • Scenario system and multiple difficulty raid modes
  • An updated talent tree system
  • A new level cap of 90

Limited-Time Bonuses and Mount Rewards

Players returning to WoW Classic can take advantage of a Level-85 Character Boost, making it easier to jump straight into Pandaria’s content. In retail WoW, players who complete the introductory quest chain before July 31 will unlock a Shaohao’s Sage Serpent mount — a thematic nod to the expansion’s iconic aesthetic.

Why It Matters for WoW Fans

Nostalgia Meets Quality: Originally released in 2012, Mists of Pandaria stood out for its stunning visuals, Eastern-inspired zones, deep class design (particularly Monks), and a surprisingly complex pet battle and PvP system. Fans have long requested its return in Classic form.

Modern Enhancements: The rework of the talent system, ease-of-play improvements, and availability of flying mounts for all characters bring a fresh layer to the original experience. These updates ensure that even seasoned veterans will find new reasons to explore the old world.

Content Rollout Schedule

Blizzard is taking a staggered approach to content. While the base game is live, raid content will unlock gradually. Mogu’shan Vaults, the first major raid, is set to open on July 31, with additional raids and scenarios scheduled in the following weeks.

What Players Should Do Now
