Mobile Legends x SpongeBob SquarePants Crossover Reportedly Confirmed

The whimsical underwater world of Bikini Bottom may soon collide with the battlefield of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). According to recent leaks and reports, the long-rumored collaboration between MLBB and SpongeBob SquarePants appears to be moving forward, following initial community surveys conducted by MOONTON Games in January 2025.

Leaked Assets Hint at Incoming Skins and Themed Content

Earlier this year, MOONTON Games released a player survey asking which heroes should receive crossover skins inspired by SpongeBob characters. Now, six months later, excitement is rising again as trusted leakers like @abyssal_mlbb have revealed a themed Killing Notification and other in-game assets, suggesting that the collaboration is well underway.

The original survey listed several potential pairings:

  • SpongeBob: Cyclops, Diggie, and one other hero.
  • Patrick: Franco, Bane, Khufra, and Gloo.
  • Mr. Krabs: Bane, Chip, and another unspecified hero.

Possible Skin Matches: Cyclops, Gloo, and Bane

From what’s been leaked, it seems that Cyclops is the strongest contender to don the SpongeBob skin—his playful and quirky design suits the character well. Gloo, on the other hand, fits Patrick’s goofy and unpredictable vibe, while Bane—with his pirate-themed aesthetics—feels like a perfect match for the money-obsessed Mr. Krabs.

Interestingly, Bane appears in both Patrick and Mr. Krabs’ candidate lists, but his treasure-hunting, seafaring personality makes him a natural fit for the latter.

What About Sandy and Squidward?

While Sandy Cheeks wasn't mentioned in the initial survey, her appearance seems likely. MOONTON typically includes at least one female hero skin in its major crossovers. Sandy also received a themed skin in Supercell’s Brawl Stars, strengthening speculation about her inclusion in the MLBB event.

In addition, Squidward may appear in the form of an emote, much like Itachi Uchiha’s cameo during the MLBB x Naruto event. Emotes have become a popular way to expand collaboration content without full skin integration.

No Official Launch Date Yet

As of now, MOONTON Games has not released an official confirmation or launch date for the MLBB x SpongeBob collaboration. All details remain speculative, based on leaks and community discussion.
