S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Is Coming to PlayStation 5 in Late 2025

GSC Game World has officially confirmed that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be making its way to PlayStation 5. While the studio has yet to announce a specific release date, the launch is expected to take place in late 2025.

Enhanced Features for PS5 and PS5 Pro

The upcoming PS5 version will take full advantage of DualSense capabilities, offering haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support for a more immersive experience. GSC has also promised additional technical enhancements tailored for the PS5 Pro, ensuring improved performance and visual fidelity on the upgraded console.

A Rocky Launch and Ongoing Improvements

The game was first released on PC and Xbox Series X|S in November 2024, after a series of significant delays. Upon launch, it received a Metacritic score of 73 from critics and 7.6 from users, with a more favorable 81% positive rating on Steam.

Since its release, the developers have continued to refine the game. The recent Patch 1.5 added official mod support and upgraded the iconic A-Life system, which simulates the game world’s dynamic ecology and NPC behavior.
