What Is a Player ID?

A Player ID is a unique identifier that replaces your old Supercell ID name. It is automatically generated and linked to your in-game profile. This ID serves as a permanent tag, ensuring that each player has a distinct identity across Supercell titles.

The Transition Is Automatic — No Action Needed (Unless You Want to Customize)

You don’t need to do anything for this transition to take effect. Every player will automatically receive a unique Player ID. However, if you're unhappy with the randomly assigned ID, Supercell offers a one-time opportunity to change it for free.

To change your Player ID:

  1. Visit the official Supercell Player ID website.
  2. Enter your unique Player ID in the designated field.
  3. Submit your desired new ID.

⚠️ Important: Once you confirm your new Player ID, it becomes permanent. Choose wisely, as you won’t be able to change it again.

Also note: unlike usernames, Player IDs are exclusive — once someone chooses a specific ID (e.g., Santon), no other player can use it.

What Happens to My Supercell ID and Game Progress?

The introduction of Player IDs does not affect:

  • Your in-game name
  • Your progress in any Supercell game
  • Your ability to switch between devices

Supercell ID still exists behind the scenes to securely back up your game data and support seamless gameplay across devices, including phones and tablets.

Which Games Are Affected?

This change applies across all Supercell titles, including:
