Konami and Bloober Team Confirm Silent Hill 1 Remake Is in the Works

After the impressive success of the Silent Hill 2 remake (by the way, I actually made a pretty solid review of it myself 😉) — which sold over 2 million copies within just three months — it was only a matter of time before Konami and Bloober Team unveiled their next steps together.

While the renewed partnership was initially teased back in February, the official announcement came during the closing moments of Konami’s latest livestream. The two studios will once again collaborate on a new project in the Silent Hill universe.

The reveal was accompanied by the haunting score from the original Silent Hill, immediately triggering speculation among fans. Not long after, Konami’s Japanese X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed the big news: the next title will be a remake of the original Silent Hill, which originally launched on the PlayStation 1 in 1999.

Details about the remake’s release date and platforms are still under wraps, as the project has only recently entered the early stages of development.
