Game Freak Officially Reveals Beast of Reincarnation, a Post-Apocalyptic Action Adventure

Game Freak—the renowned studio behind the mainline Pokémon franchise—has officially unveiled its upcoming action-adventure title, Beast of Reincarnation. While early details first surfaced in May 2023, the game has now received a full announcement.

Set in a devastated, monster-infested Japan, the story follows Emma, a cursed exile, and her loyal dog Kuu, as they fight to survive in a world teetering on the brink. Players will navigate a hostile and ever-changing landscape, master a demanding and technical combat system, and explore the profound question at the heart of the game: what does it mean to become the Beast of Reincarnation?

Beast of Reincarnation is slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam), and Game Pass.
