Assassin’s Creed Shadows Patch 1.0.5: New Quest, Dead by Daylight Crossover, and Parkour Improvements
Ubisoft has announced the release of patch 1.0.5 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which includes a series of improvements, bug fixes, and new features, including crossovers with Dead by Daylight and Balatro.
Key Changes in the Patch:
- New Bonus Quest "Thrown to the Dogs"This update introduces the previously pre-order exclusive quest, "Thrown to the Dogs." In this quest, players will help a loyal dog avenge his late master. Upon completing the quest, players will unlock Tsuki-maru as a pet for their Hideout.
- Dead by Daylight CrossoverPatch 1.0.5 features a special event where players will investigate the disappearance of villagers in the village of Harima. To succeed, players must master unique mechanics and confront a formidable otherworldly threat. The event will be available only after unlocking Yasuke as a playable character. Upon completion, players will receive a unique trinket and banner.Additionally, a Dead by Daylight-inspired pack will be available in the store, including outfits, weapons, accessories, and the chance to unlock the loyal steed, Maurice.
- Balatro ItemsTwo new items inspired by Balatro are added to the game: the "Winning Hand" amulet for Yasuke and a trinket for Naoe. These items offer unique buffs that enhance the characters’ attacks.
- Parkour Mechanics ImprovementsThe patch revises several key parkour mechanics. Now, players can use a new vertical jump to grab ledges and overhangs, making parkour easier and reducing the need for wall runs. Additionally, side and back ejects have been enhanced, with increased height and distance, offering more maneuvering options for players.
- Photo Mode UpdatesPhoto Mode receives significant updates, allowing players to change the time of day, choose new poses and facial expressions, play music while editing, and use new frames and filters. Players can now save custom filters and enjoy an improved preview mode.
- Bug Fixes and Stability ImprovementsThe patch addresses dozens of issues, including those related to quests, combat, and NPC interactions. Special attention has been given to fixing problems with the coin economy, encouraging players to explore the world more and engage in activities to gather materials and resources, rather than relying solely on merchants.

Patch 1.0.5 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows looks quite exciting, and all this new content will be available to try starting today, May 27th!
