The infamous Meteor is now closer than ever. Once it crashes into the Battle Royale island, the map will undergo significant changes — but those will only be live once the next season officially launches. Here’s everything players need to know about the end of Chapter 1 Season 3 and the start of Season 4 in Fortnite OG.

When Does Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 3 End?

Fortnite OG: When Does Chapter 1 Season 4 Begin? 1

Originally, Fortnite OG’s Chapter 1 Season 3 was set to end on June 8 at 1:30 AM ET. However, Epic Games has recently updated the schedule for all Fortnite game modes, including Battle Royale, Fortnite OG, and LEGO Fortnite. As a result, the season’s end was moved forward, shortening the amount of time players have to finish their battle passes.

Following this change, Season 3 will now officially end on June 7 at 2 PM ET. This update cuts nearly 12 hours from the season’s duration, so players are encouraged to make the most of the remaining time — grinding XP and completing any outstanding pass rewards before it's too late.

When Does Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 4 Start?

Epic Games typically announces server downtime details a few days before the end of a season, including when matchmaking will be disabled. After that, servers go offline for a few hours while the new update is deployed. This downtime usually occurs in the early morning hours so players can jump into the new season shortly after waking up.

However, since this time the season ends in the afternoon, it’s possible that downtime may extend into the evening or even the following morning. Based on this, players can expect Chapter 1 Season 4 to launch either late on June 7 or in the morning of June 8, depending on how long the update process takes.
