Warzone Season 4: Clash Returns, The Overlook Arrives, and Chaos Unfolds
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 just wrapped up, leaving us with a wave of nostalgic emotions and the joy of seeing Verdansk return. And now, Call of Duty: Warzone is already gearing up for its next chapter — and honestly, there’s plenty of info to dive into and discuss what to expect from Season 4. Activision has confirmed that the new season kicks off on Thursday, May 29 — the same day Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch.
The Overlook Takes Over Verdansk

The highlight this time is The Overlook, a brand-new location on the Verdansk map. This isn’t just another building — it’s a massive skyscraper that towers over everything else in the city, twice the height of any previous structure. It replaces several old areas like Burger Town, residential blocks, and the SKN Comm Tower. In their place stands a vertical battleground full of action: players can move between floors, climb cranes, zipline across rooftops, and explore new spots like the reimagined Burger Town and a sushi bar at street level. It’s a huge shift that brings fresh energy to a familiar map.
Clash Returns — With Upgrades
Clash is making a comeback in Season 4, bringing large-scale 52v52 battles to areas like Quarry and Promenade. Originally removed back in 2021, the mode is finally back — and it’s better than ever. Loadouts are unlocked from the start, and you’ll earn points through kills, contracts, and dynamic in-game events. The updated version introduces exciting new mechanics: Search and Destroy Contracts, UAV Towers, turrets, barricades for defense, and five new power-ups like Speed Boost and Double Down. Plus, the addition of vehicles and a moving train changes how players navigate and fight across the map.

New Modes for Chaos Lovers and Newcomers
That’s not all — later in the season, we’ll see the arrival of Havoc Royale, a limited-time mode that completely reworks the traditional gas circle mechanics. Each circle now adds a unique modifier, shaking up the gameplay and forcing squads to adapt constantly. Chaos is the name of the game here.
For those just starting out, there’s Resurgence Casual. It’s a more relaxed and beginner-friendly take on the Resurgence mode. The matches include bots, and progression doesn’t count toward your main account. It’s perfect for warming up or getting a feel for the action on Rebirth Island without the usual pressure.
Loot, Killstreaks, and New Contracts
Mid-season, several useful additions are coming in: the Care Package Killstreak delivers a crate packed with rare loot, while the Loot Master Perk boosts the amount of loot you get from caches. Also returning is the Hand Cannon, a powerful but single-use weapon that can quickly turn the tide of battle. Finally, the Search and Destroy Contract — first introduced in Clash — will expand to Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Plunder, adding bomb-related objectives to spice up matches across all core modes.
All in all, Season 4 is shaping up to be packed with content — for longtime fans and newcomers alike. So jump in, explore the chaos, and may your lobbies be filled with top-1s!
