Ubisoft Unveils Post-Launch Roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows: New Quests, Features, and More Coming Soon

Ubisoft kicks off post-launch support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows in early May with the release of a free quest titled The Works of Luis Frois. The mission centers around the historical Jesuit scholar and adds narrative depth to the game’s immersive setting.

Parkour Improvements and First Collaboration

By late May, players can expect an update enhancing parkour mechanics with new moves, alongside a revamped photo mode featuring new filters and poses. This update will also mark the debut of the game’s first crossover collaboration, though details remain under wraps.

June Brings Story Expansion and Immersive Features

June will introduce a second story quest featuring a new ally, along with added difficulty settings and immersion options. These include toggles for helmet visibility in cutscenes and modifications to the open-world alert system, catering to various playstyles.

Looking Ahead: NG+, Animus Hub Content, and Paid DLC

Ubisoft has also teased upcoming features like a New Game+ mode, additional collaborations, and fresh content for the Animus Hub. While a release date hasn’t been set for the paid Claws of Awaji DLC, its contents have been partially revealed. Players can expect a new island (Awaji), fresh enemies, abilities, and a new weapon — a combat staff for Naoe. The expansion will be free for those who pre-ordered the base game.

A Strong Start for the Latest Assassin's Creed

According to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is off to a strong start, attracting more players in its first month than Origins and Odyssey did in the same timeframe. The game is currently available on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Amazon Luna. It’s also included in the Ubisoft+ subscription service.
