Borderlands 4 Release Moved 11 Days Earlier

Good news for gamers and first-person shooter fans — Gearbox studio head Randy Pitchford has prematurely revealed the new release date for Borderlands 4. Originally scheduled for release on September 23, the launch has now been moved up by a week and a half — to September 12. Borderlands 4 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch 2.

In video, Pitchford said:

"Things are actually going great. Development is going according to the best-case scenario. The game is amazing, the team is working hard, so the launch date of Borderlands 4 is changing. We're moving it... earlier. The new release date is September 12."

“What?! That never happens! That never happens! We're moving the launch date! You're getting Borderlands 4 earlier!”

Additionally, the promised PlayStation State of Play dedicated to Borderlands 4 is set to premiere on April 30 at 2:00 PM PT/ 5:00 PM ET/ 11:00 PM CEST.

The previous installment, Borderlands 3, released in 2019, was a major success and remains popular to this day, so expectations are high for the upcoming title.
