Squad Busters: Archer Queen and Mortis to Be Removed in April 2025 Update

Supercell’s Squad Busters is about to undergo a major change — two popular Epic characters, Archer Queen and Mortis, will be permanently removed from the game starting Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

What’s Happening?

Once the removal takes effect:

• Archer Queen and Mortis will no longer appear in chests, shop offers, or player lineups.
• Players are strongly encouraged to merge as many copies of these characters as possible before the deadline.
• Unmerged versions will not be eligible for compensation, so it’s crucial to act quickly!

Compensation Details: May 2025 Update

To ease the transition, Supercell will offer compensation rewards based on your progress:

• Your highest evolution level for Archer Queen or Mortis will transfer to a random Squaddie at the same level.Example: If you had an Ultimate Archer Queen, you’ll receive a random Ultimate Squaddie.
• A new currency will also be introduced to help balance progression and compensate for the randomness of the replacements. This system will also factor in the value of converted Babies.
• Skins owned for Archer Queen or Mortis won’t go to waste — you’ll receive Style Tickets in exchange.

Could They Return in the Future?

Interestingly, the announcement specifies that these characters are being removed in their "current forms", hinting that alternate versions of Archer Queen and Mortis might make a comeback in future updates. However, no official confirmation or explanation has been given so far.
