Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.78: Full Breakdown of Hero Balance Changes, Battlefield Adjustments, and More

The latest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Patch 1.9.78 brings a wave of hero balance changes, battlefield adjustments, and more! Following the launch of the revamped Kimmy on the Original Server on April 22, 2025, players can look forward to the arrival of revamped Gloo very soon. Here’s a detailed look at everything included in the patch.

Attribute Changes and Equipment Adjustments

• Resilience has been enhanced to further reduce the duration of Airborne control effects. However, the resilience provided by specific equipment has been decreased.
• Healing Reduction effects from equipment have been weakened, aiming to balance heroes who depend heavily on healing.

Revamped Hero: Gloo — The Swamp Spirits

Gloo, a Tank hero known for splitting into spirit-like creatures, has been revamped:

• Passive — Stick, Stick: Each hit applies a Sticky stack, slowing enemies and reducing their damage to Gloo.
• Skill 1 — Slam, Slam: Slams the ground, dealing damage and creating Goo that explodes to immobilize enemies.
• Skill 2 — Spread, Spread: Deals damage in a fan-shaped area, splits into Goos, and enables movement control over enemies.
• Ultimate — Grab, Grab: Attaches to an enemy with max Sticky stacks, restores HP, and redirects part of the damage taken to the host.

Hero Balance Changes

Kalea (Nerfed)

• Passive: Knockback effect removed from the first Enhanced Basic Attack.
• Skill 2: Leaping Distance reduced from 5 to 4.5 units.
• Ultimate: Slamming Distance reduced from 5.5 to 5 units.

Lylia (Buffed)

• Skill 2: Cooldown set to 6 seconds at all levels; increased damage scaling.
• Ultimate: Now removes debuffs when cast.

Kadita (Buffed)

• Skill 1: Dashing speed reduced; mana cost lowered.
• Skill 2: Airborne delay shortened; mana cost lowered.
• Ultimate: Foreswing reduced from 0.7s to 0.5s.

Yi Sun-shin (Buffed)

• Complete redesign of his Ultimate to boost burst damage.
• Enhanced control responsiveness across all skills.

Valir (Buffed)

• Removed damage-boosting effect from Ultimate.
• Strengthened Passive damage and improved Skill 1’s combat effectiveness.

Gord (Buffed)

• Basic Attacks no longer stack Passive.
• Increased attack frequency and Ultimate’s range.

Natan (Buffed)

• Faster follow-up Basic Attacks after skill usage.
• Easier maintenance of Passive stacks, with minor base stat adjustments.

Clint (Buffed)

• Boosted early-to-mid game laning power.
• Slight reduction in late-game burst but improved sustained damage.

Granger (Nerfed)

• Long-range poke and mobility toned down.
• Single-shot burst damage increased to balance his playstyle.

Battlefield and System Adjustments

New Battlefield Effects (Test Phase)

Battlefield effects will randomly activate in Ranked Pick and Ban matches and last the entire game. New effects include:

• Danger at Every Turn: Expanded bushes for more ambush opportunities.
• Free Roaming: Added rapid movement devices near Bases.
• Rushing Torrent: River speed boosts extend into Jungle areas, favoring contest objectives.
• Boulder Shatter: Thinned or broken obstacles for easier navigation.

(Note: Ling will be unavailable during this phase.)

Mayhem Mode Returns!

Mayhem Mode is back from May 2 to June 15, 2025!

During this period, players can enjoy free access to MLBB × NARUTO collaboration skins for Hayabusa, Vale, Suyou, Lukas, and Kalea in Mayhem mode!
