Since its 2022 release, FromSoftware’s action RPG Elden Ring has inspired a passionate fanbase, with many reimagining its haunting world through various creative mediums—from pixel art and woodworking to painting and 3D modeling. Among these efforts, YouTuber Lerfing has taken things to the next level by rebuilding Elden Ring’s sprawling world block by block in Minecraft.

His recreation includes all major surface regions from the base game, such as Limgrave, Liurnia of the Lakes, Caelid, the Altus Plateau, and the Mountaintops of the Giants. Capital city Leyndell and the elusive Haligtree are also featured, though still under construction. Lerfing estimates the map has taken over 2,000 hours of work so far—a testament to his dedication.

While some areas, including underground zones like Siofra River and Lake of Rot, are still missing, and the new Land of Shadow from Shadow of the Erdtree has yet to be added, Lerfing is far from finished. He has promised to continue refining the map and will release future updates as progress continues.

Available for Download—with a Caveat

The project has recently gone viral on Reddit’s r/EldenRing, racking up more than 22,000 upvotes and hundreds of comments praising Lerfing's talent and perseverance. For those wanting to explore the Minecraft version of The Lands Between themselves, the map is available for download—but only through Lerfing’s Patreon.

It’s unclear whether Lerfing always intended to build the entire world from the start. Initially, he focused on recreating individual locations before gradually stitching them together into a cohesive map. Now, it’s shaping up to be one of the most impressive fan-made tributes to Elden Ring yet.

In the meantime, fans looking for more Elden Ring content won’t have to wait long. Elden Ring: Nightreign, a co-op roguelike, is slated for release on May 30, while Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is expected to launch on the Switch 2 in the second half of 2025.
