Hasbro Teams Up with Saber Interactive for New AAA Game
Big news for Hasbro fans! The company behind Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and Transformers has revealed it's working on a brand-new “AAA” video game with Saber Interactive, the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. CEO Chris Cocks made the announcement during an earnings call, confirming that the game will feature “high-octane single-player action” and an exciting multiplayer experience.
Hasbro didn’t specify which of its iconic franchises will be the foundation of this game, but speculation is already running wild. Transformers, with its epic battles and rich lore, seems like a strong contender – especially considering how the series could use a standout game. G.I. Joe also makes sense, and of course, there’s the possibility of Dungeons & Dragons or Magic: The Gathering being the focus, both of which have massive fanbases.

Cocks mentioned the game will be developed by the team behind Space Marine 2, calling them some of the best talent in the industry. The partnership is described as a “co-publishing deal”, which means both Hasbro and Saber will have a hand in bringing the game to life.
Hasbro is on a roll, buoyed by the success of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the mobile hit Monopoly Go. With other projects like a new Dungeons & Dragons game, a G.I. Joe title, and more in the works, it seems Hasbro is setting the stage for a powerhouse of gaming franchises. Fans are eagerly awaiting more details to see which iconic property will get the AAA treatment next!
