Fortnite has also brought in characters from other video games, allowing players to battle as Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Master Chief (Halo), and Kratos (God of War), among many others. Recent rumors have hinted at potential crossovers with Devil May Cry, Like a Dragon, and Metal Gear Solid. Now, speculation is swirling that two legendary Mortal Kombat ninjas could soon make their way onto the Fortnite Island.

Mortal Kombat Skins Could Be Coming to Fortnite

Reliable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR recently claimed that a Mortal Kombat crossover could be coming as part of Chapter 6, Season 2 (via Reddit user KvasirTheOld on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours). According to the leak, this crossover would include two new quest character skins, each with a special Mythic weapon or ability. The leak does not confirm which Mortal Kombat characters would be featured, but many fans speculate that it could be Scorpion and Sub-Zero, the two most recognizable figures from the franchise.

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 and Potential Mortal Kombat Content

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 is set to begin on February 21, with trailers hinting at a heist-themed season. Epic has already teased the return of Midas, now with a rugged new look, and leaks suggest a pickle-themed skin, which could either be a new Peely variant or even the return of Pickle Rick from Rick and Morty.

Given their ninja background, Scorpion and Sub-Zero would fit well with the rumored heist theme of Season 6, making them ideal additions as guest skins. The Mortal Kombat universe is filled with memorable characters, and players would undoubtedly be excited to see them join Fortnite. However, as with any unverified rumor, players should take this claim with a grain of salt until an official announcement comes from Epic Games or NetherRealm Studios.

Official Confirmation Could Be Coming Soon

With Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 launching later this month, an official reveal about a potential Mortal Kombat crossover may not be far away. Until then, fans will have to wait and see if Scorpion and Sub-Zero will indeed step onto the Fortnite battlefield.
